Short answer: You can buy a home before you arrive. Set clear criteria, get fully pre-approved, see homes by live video, and confirm schools, commute and flood or insurance details with official sources.

My process for relocating buyers

  1. Planning call: budget, timeline, commute (Redstone Arsenal, downtown Huntsville, Gainesville or Atlanta), school priorities and must-haves.
  2. A shortlist of 2 to 4 areas that fit, with links to the area pages and relocation guides.
  3. Live video tours that show the street, the noise, the drive in, and what listing photos leave out.
  4. Offer strategy and remote signing: electronic signatures, and inspections you can watch by video.
  5. Closing and keys, with a utility setup list for the area.

Verify with official sources: school zones (the district's own lookup), flood zones (FEMA Flood Map Service Center) and property taxes (county assessor). I'll send you those links for each home.
